The community garden at the Greensboro Town Hall grows food for our community, brings all people together to work and celebrate gardening, and supports gardeners with mentoring, information and education.
This garden is a giving garden, meaning food will be grown collectively for anyone in the community to access.
Examples of where food might end up include:
The Hardwick Area Food Pantry
Kitchens all over town. People are welcome to come by and snack on cherry tomatoes, snip some herbs for dinner, and have their needs met while being mindful of the needs of others
Vegetables can be harvested and delivered to individuals and families as needed
The mission and outcome of the garden are intended to adapt to community needs and group decision making.
